Naples...

We took a drive on Tuesday to Naples Beach, which is about an hour south of us (with traffic of course). WOW! That town is ritzy! It was like stepping out of Florida and into what I think Beverly Hills must look like.

Tall, well established palm trees line all the streets. The side roads leading to the beach have parking in the center of the road, instead of on the sides. Giant homes, GIANT... with gates blocking the driveways, and perfectly manicured landscaping. Super clean beaches... you get the idea. It's how "the other half" live.

We got free parking downtown in front of a very upscale restaurant and walked 3 blocks to the beach. It's was a gorgeous day. Only a few people were on the beach, so it was quiet, and relaxing.
Highlights of the day:
1. Callie dug a giant hole trying to get below the water line, but never did find it...

2. The water was about 70 degrees, and we all swam...

3. The concrete on the sidewalks in Naples have seashells embedded into them, which I thought was pretty neat... (I know, who takes pictures of the ground? )

4. There was lots to gaze at along our stroll to and from the beach... statues and fountains, fancy restaurants, dressed up folks going about their day...

I really enjoyed the town and our day. We didn't exactly "fit in" but that didn't bother us or slow us down. I'll end this post with a few more pictures I took, because this was a place that you just have to see to understand... so beautiful!
Stay tuned and stay healthy!
Very cool to see how the other half live. I'm loving this blog and following your journey!!
Pretty town. My sister-in-laws in-laws have a winter home there. She’s headed there for spring break. Very ritzy area. I have never been there.
Wow! Just gorgeous!
