Snakes, ants, and ... SCORPION?!?

Quarantined... and things are going well.

For some of neighbors, not so much. We're hearing lots of doors slamming, bits of arguments, kids screaming for hours on end... I choose to think of it as free entertainment. Being trapped together in a small (or even huge) camper can get old, but we're enjoying it (well, mostly, Val has had a few meltdowns...). And it is the Pink Super Full Moon, afterall.

Today's excitement:

- I found a snake slithering over my foot and into my sandal, I pissed off a giant mound of fire ants, and I almost grabbed a scorpion... all in the course of 10 minutes while we were collecting firewood. We're done collecting wood for now 😂🤣😂

- The dogs all escaped at once and went running into the woodsy desert behind us. That was REALLY fun.... met a few neighbors in the process. Hopefully they won't kick us out tomorrow for having too many dogs.

- We explored the lake area here, got a few pictures (ok, a LOT of pictures, I'm a weirdo), and decided we're going swimming tomorrow. It's supposed to be 90 degrees, and I assume humid, since it's been humid since we got to Texas.

(Callie wasn't accepting photo requests today)

No, we won't be breaking any rules, only the pool is closed, not the lake. Although, it's not really a beach, very rocky, and we'll keep our distance.

Yesterday's fun was actually fun! Mike and I walked around our campsite area and some of the campground's public spaces and explored.

- Saw our first cactus.

(pretty pathetic, huh? Lol)

- Saw some deer.

- Generally explored and had a lovely time.

How are y'all doing? Staying healthy? Not killing anyone you're quarantined with in their sleep I hope. We miss you! Stay well and stay tuned!
