We spent the night at Walmart in the next town over on Sunday. We were joined by 2 other rigs who pulled up around us in a caravan circle. Had a lovely evening chatting with the fellow travelers.
Yesterday morning we found new reservations 3 hours south, a much nicer campground to be at as a bonus. We should be safe from fires, for the time being anyway.
They declared the #SolidadFire under control and lifted the evacuation orders last night. No one was injured, and to my knowledge, no homes were damaged. All in all, the fire destroyed 1100 acres of wilderness.
